This article presents a comprehensive analysis of the psychological mechanisms that not only contribute to the development of digital addiction but also produce various social effects. It is noted that, from a psychological perspective, addiction is caused by stimulation of the brain&#8217;s dopamine system. This means that people experience a sense of satisfaction through constant interaction with digital devices and platforms. The social consequences of digital addiction have been shown to manifest themselves in loss of productivity, disruptions in interpersonal relationships, social isolation, and increased anxiety, especially among young people.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Particular attention is given to adolescents, whose psyche is most susceptible to the influence of the digital environment. The article also examines the cultural, economic, and technical factors underlying the development of addiction, including aggressive marketing strategies by IT corporations and the popularity of online networks among a significant portion of young people. The authors conclude that addressing this problem requires both an individual approach and systemic policies, such as educational campaigns aimed at fostering digital literacy and government regulation of screen time.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The study also highlights the importance of a comprehensive approach integrating psychology, sociology, and social technologies, which can effectively minimize the negative consequences of digital addiction and create a healthy digital ecology.
